1857, 12¢ black, plate I, small group of six singles and two horizontal pairs, much of interest includes: red numeral "19"; blue cds; single with part imprint at left; pair with large Boston "Paid"; piece with ms. canceled pair used with GB 1p red, etc., small flaws, F.-V.F. and good group.

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, nice centering with attractive red Hartford Ct. diamond grid cancel and partial cds, faults, striking F.-V.F. appearance.

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, recut in bottom left corner, position 43-44R1, horizontal pair, exceptionally well centered, deep blue grid cancel, left stamp tone spot, right some faint creases, Very Fine appearance, a scarce recut variety plated by Allen .

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, block of four, positions 34-35/44-45L1, nicely centered, intense shade and impression, tied by grid cancels on small piece of cover, Fine, with 2003 P.F. certificate, Fine and scarce used block from Plate 1; signed Alcuri, with 2003 P.F. certificate.

1859, 12¢ black, plate III, horizontal pair, exeedingly well centered with wide margins, bit heavily canceled, Very Fine.

1860, 24¢ gray lilac, wide margins, touched at bottom, exceptional red grid cancel, neat impression on fresh paper, Very Fine and striking.

1857-60 (1875 Reprint), 12¢ greenish black, plate proofs on card, group of 4 singles and 1 pair from the card printings of 1879, 1885, 1885, 1885, 1890 with printing / thickness marked on back, nice margins, one clear at right, classed by print quality, color variation and card thickness to year date based on research, these are not all greenish black, and as such are unlisted in Scott (which is incomplete), Fine and rare assemblage.
