    Washington D.C. Machine Cancels, 1879-1923, collection of approx. 325 covers and cards on album pages, range of machines including Leavitt, Barr-Fyke, Barry Doremus, Evans, Hamden, Pneumatic, Universal Stamping, etc., many experimentals, receivers, late mail, etc. note some advertising and patriotics, better noted 1909 Evans Experimental Type 5, 1885 Leavitt Type CT-Wash, 1881 Leavitt on 2¢ UPU card to Greece, 1897 Barr-Fyke experimental types X-7a and X-9, 1897 Universal Postal Union Congress, 1916 Columbia Postal Supply experimental used only two days (April 11-12, 1916), Hansen-Krag repeaters including one strike as receiver without bars, two 1906 Unknown Repeaters, two 1909 Universal Stamping experimentals, etc., also includes loose approx. 140 machine flags cancels incl. stations; some faults, F.-V.F., an important machine cancel collection .

    Washington D.C. Machine Slogan Postmarks, 1897-2001, exhibit collection of 144 pages starting with the 1897 "Congress Postal Universel" flag, many examples present with less than five impressions recorded, detailed periods of use for each, some interesting uses including post office seals, diplomatic pouch mail including incoming from Basra, Iraq and 1950 stamped from Turkey, airmail, free franks, forwarded, etc., Very Fine exhibit collection.

    Washington D.C. Rapid Machine Cancels - Slogans, three large cartons of Rapid Machine Cancels with slogan cancels housed in 4" binders organized by number up to 245. 100s of covers per bulging binder. Typical mail cancellations from the 1950s to modern day, covers not reviewed and presented as consigned. Another binder has cut squares. Includes 2 binders of reference material. Richard Smith's notes on "Rapid Canceling machine Postmarks of the Washington, D.C. Post Office and a primer by Bart Billings, Robert Payne, and Reg Morris.
