    Eufaula Ala. "Registered", bold straightline with ms. "156" registry number, matching "Eufaula Ala. Jun 17" cds cancels 3¢ red (U10) buff Nesbitt entire from Buchannon Carroll correspondence to New Orleans La.; small edge tear into straightline, fresh and Very Fine, the only recorded example .

    two 1855 folded letters from the same correspondence, Mar. 14each with Mobile cds with "Paid 6" in circle rating handstamp and magenta " Register. " and " Registered " markings, each with bank "Record" notation upon receipt, Very Fine pair.

    This correspondence pair shows registry numbers of 501 and 909, or 408 difference, which is a large volume of registered mail passing through the Mobile Ala. post office.
