    (Langton's Pioneer Express) Camtonville., blue straightline in oval handstamp on 3¢ red (U10) Nesbitt buff entire with Langton's Pioneer Express printed frank to San Francisco Cal., endorsed "Valuable" and "Collect", exchanged with blue "Wells Fargo & Co., Marysville, Nov 11" double-oval handstamp (Leutzinger type 11-5) and "Wells Fargo & Co.'s Express From Marysville" black on orange label at lower left and slightly folded over the bottom; entire a bit reduced at left, F.-V.F. and scarce money letter label use, ex-Hackett .

Marysville, Oct 6" oval to Santa Cruz Cal.; small toned spot on indicium, opened three sides, light water stain at lower right, one tiny chip in paper at right, still F.-V.F., ex-Kramer, Blaine .

    LaPorte Express Co., La Porte, Aug 22, blue oval handstamp (LAP-100) cancels 3¢ pink (U59) buff entire with black LaPorte Express Co. printed frank (LAP-001) to San Francisco Cal., black "Dr. E.L. Williard's Book & Drug Store" oval corner card handstamp (LAP-400), 1866 receipt docketing on reverse; reduced slightly at right, Extremely Fine and choice strike, one of the finest recorded .

    The La Porte Express Co. carried mail from La Porte, Plumas County and the mines on Gibsonville Ridge connecting with Wells, Fargo & Co.'s Express at Marysville. La Porte Express Co. operated for only eight months, January to August 1866, when it was sold to Wells Fargo & Co.

Roach, Dealer in Wines and Liquors" with large illustration of his Building and Street Scene, Wells Fargo & Co. printed frank on back flap (Haller type E); slightly rough opening at left with corner flaws, F.-V.F. and beautiful, ex-Lichtenstein .
