Fremont for President in 1864" caption, all in an intricate green frame on cover with manuscript "Lynchburg, Ill. July 5 - 1862" postmark and "Official Free" rating addressed to the Third Assistant Postmaster General, Washington D.C.; partial flap with small top left edge mend, Extremely Fine, ex-Gabriel .

Fremont For President in 1864" caption and verse on cover with Baltimore blue "Due 3" in circle rating handstamp to Mount Joy Pa.; cover edge flaws and light cleaning, F.-V.F. appearance, a scarce patriotic campaign design.

    (1864 Campaign) John Fremont, portrait campaign design with "Shepard Clark & Co. 110 Washington St. Boston Mass" imprint below, on small cover bearing 3¢ rose (65) tied by six-bar grid, matching "Brattleboro Vt. 1863" cds to Ferrisburgh Centre Vt.; some wear, 3¢ faults, F.-V.F. appearance.

Washington, DC, additional manuscript on reverse " Come away with honor, Keep to your Post "; reduced at right, Very Fine.
