The Columbus, Ohio post office used their "Registered" straightline on transit mail. It is believed that this practice was discontinued with the start of Official Registration on July 1, 1855. Milgram original assigned this straightline to Baltimore (R-BA-1) on the basis of the Springfield Oh. use.Lot 349
